Student Wellbeing
Newtown Primary School offers a suite of Wellbeing programs to support our students with extra needs academically, socially or emotionally. These programs include literacy support, modified programs, student leadership initiatives and a school wellbeing officer.
Newtown has a locally employed Occupational Therapist, working 1.25 days per week as well as a Wellbeing Support officer, working onsite 1 day per week.
We also have the support of a network Psychologists and Speech therapists.
Careful consideration and thought is given to match the needs of the students with the program that would best support them in their learning and development.
Offers to participate in these programs are only made as required and as places become available. See also : Child Safe Standards
